Professional Development for Teachers K-8

Most CIBL workshops are 6 hours long and take place on a weekday, at our training center or at your school district. Please note that to rent a kit, we require teachers to attend the CIBL session on that kit.

Why Invest in Professional Development?

We have learned that the best way to prepare to teach with a kit is to experience the kit. Teachers who attend our professional development sessions enable students to get more out of their kit experience. CIBL sessions are designed so teachers are prepared, confident and excited to use the kit with their students. We believe that professional development is so important to the process that we include free training with every kit rental.

Professional Development Options

Trainings at CIBL

This option works well for school districts that:

  • Want to start a kit-based pilot program with just a few teachers

  • Currently rent kits, but need to train new teachers or accommodate grade level changes.

  • Have less than 15 teachers to train on a new kit title.

Your teachers will come to CIBL’s training center in Durham for a 6-hour session on the use of the kit. Training is FREE if your teachers also rent kits from CIBL. Training without kit rental is $90 per teacher.

Trainings on-site in your district

If your district plans to train more than 15 teachers on a kit, CIBL will come to you. The 6-hour session will be held on-site in your district, a convenient option for your administration and teachers.  On-site training is FREE if your teachers also rent kits from CIBL. Training without kit rental is $1,800 per session.
